Please come out and join us on the evening of Monday, March 6th @ 7:00pm at the community hall. We have a community safety public open house where we will be joined by members of the RCMP for a bit of a presentation and Q&A to follow. I’d love it if you could make it out.
Just a little bit of a background on this presentation. Community safety has been something that residents have reached out to me in the past about. It’s concerning for everyone and although a lot of things like policing are out of our control, I really wanted to create something that could help our residents. That’s why during the February 7th council meeting I had brought forward a motion requesting that: Council instruct the CAO to invite the RCMP to hold a public information session in Coalhurst on the topic of ‘actions individuals and organizations can take to create a safe community.’
This had been passed by council and this event is now taking place on Monday. I fully realize this won’t solve all our problems but I hope it’s a positive step forward when it comes to community safety. The attached image that the town had generated has full details for the event! I know it’s short notice however we had just found out, but I’d really love to see you there!!
