My focus is on creating a robust local economy by being a good steward of our resources and promoting thoughtful business growth. I believe that when our local businesses thrive, our entire community benefits. Working together with Council we will:
- Promote Business Growth: We will work actively with our business community to understand their needs and support their expansion.
- Create Community Dialogue: We’ll create dedicated spaces and opportunities for regular interaction with local business owners. This collaboration will help us identify challenges and find smart solutions to foster a vibrant local economy.
Planning for Our Future
A responsible government must plan for the future. By taking a proactive approach to our community’s development, ensuring we are prepared for growth we can maintain a high quality of life. This includes:
- Future-Ready Infrastructure: As a Council we can plan for the future of our infrastructure and residential expansion, ensuring that our services can keep pace with our growth.
- Transparent Service Levels: I would love to see and champion the creation of a public “level of service” document. This will inform residents about our current service standards and show how those services directly impact the budget. By providing this information, we can give residents a greater voice in the budgeting process, ensuring their priorities are at the forefront, while meeting the service needs of the community.
